Pearl was all at sixes and sevens. She wished that the fashion mavens would make up their minds about pleats. Every skirt in the catalogs seemed to be different. Center front, center back, at the side . . . sometimes all three together. What was she suppose to do to stay in step with the latest trends?
She decided to comprise with a skirt having pleats both at the center front and center back. The edges being seamed down part way to keep them smoothly in place -- but still allow for walking. Like everything, it opened on the left side with either hooks and eyes or a new-fangled slide fastener.
All of our patterns are replicated directly from the original source material of the period. No changes have been made to the pattern in order to retain its historical accuracy. As such notches and other markings may not match perfectly.
